Punjab Police has carried out a major operation in collaboration with central security agencies and Malaysia Police. In a joint operation, 2 most wanted accused of proscribed terror outfit Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) were brought to India from Malaysia on Thursday (18th June) morning. As soon as these two accused landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi, Punjab Police immediately took them into custody. According to the information, both the accused have been brought to Punjab for further investigation. The arrested accused have been identified as Gurwinder Singh of Ambala and Manjit Singh of Patiala. Both were involved in a terror module targeting vital railway infrastructure including Dedicated Freight Corridor rail lines in Punjab. Punjab Police had not only busted the terror module responsible for the IED blast on the Railway Freight Corridor line near Sirhind Fatehgarh Sahib on 23rd January 2026 and the blast on the same corridor near Shambhu District Patiala on 27th April 2026. These two terror agencies were not only conspiring to bust the terror module but were also planning to carry out a terror attack on the same corridor near Sirhind Fatehgarh Sahib on 27th April 2026.
