The suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a warehousing manager in Amritsar, has caused a major political upheaval in Punjab. Leaders and workers of Congress, BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal held a joint protest in Chandigarh. Chandigarh Police used water cannons on leaders and workers of all three parties as they tried to gherao the Chief Minister's house. BJP, SAD and Congress have demanded immediate arrest of Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar and a CBI inquiry into the suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa. In the suicide case of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, District Manager, Warehousing, Punjab, his family has been demanding the arrest of former AAP Minister Laljit Bhullar and his father Sukhdev Bhullar. The family has made it clear that they will neither conduct a postmortem nor perform the last rites until their demands are met. Leaders and workers of BJP, Congress and Akali Dal reached Chandigarh to protest in this case and gheraoed the CM House demanding justice for the family.
