The monsoon session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha began on Monday. Within hours of its beginning, the session was marred by ruckus. During this, there was a ruckus in the House on the issue of pharmacy paper leak. Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa cornered Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who had participated in the protest over the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar in the past. He questioned whether the Education Minister would resign or the Health Minister would resign if the papers were leaked six times in four and a half years in the state, out of which five cases were related to the Education Department and one to the Health Department. In the House, the Congress MLAs reached the Well raising slogans of Education Minister Resignation. Here the Congress MLAs shouted slogans in the House. The MLAs kept shouting'Paper leak hi-Speaker hi '. BJP MLAs Ashwani Sharma and Sandeep Jakhar also reached the Well and protested over the leak. After this, the House was adjourned for 10 minutes. The Education Minister said that the discussion on the subject would continue for seven days as per the rules of the Assembly.
