PUSU Elections: Tensions Run High as Miscreants Open Fire, Candidate Creates Ruckus

PUSU elections: Around 38 per cent votes were cast in Patna University on Friday. Counting of votes is underway since 5 pm. The first round of counting has been done. NSUI's Shantanu Shekhar Shekhar is leading. Earlier, there were reports of ruckus and ruckus. Miscreants opened fire in Patna Science College. Two rounds of firing were reported. Police are on the lookout for the miscreants. On the other hand, Rinkle Yadav, an independent candidate for the post of president of PU central panel, created a ruckus after her name was wrongly written on the ballot paper. She said that her name was Rinkle Kumar instead of Rinkle Yadav. Rinkle tore ballot papers in Patna College, BN College and University campus. Rinkle was caught by the police after the ruckus, but left after a while. Polling was interrupted for 20 minutes in Patna College due to the ruckus. President candidate Rinkle Yadav and his supporters say that though they campaigned, Rinkle Yadav has written his name on the ballot paper, but the university administration has taken cognizance of it.
