Putin Arrives in New Delhi for 18th BRICS Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in New Delhi on Friday (11 September 2026) to attend the 18th BRICS Summit. Security arrangements have been made in the capital for Putin's visit to India. He will participate in the BRICS Summit as well as hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Putin's plane arrived at Palam Air Force Station early in the morning. However, he was received at the airport by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in the absence of PM Modi. Putin's visit is considered very important in terms of India-Russia relations. Warmly welcomed President Vladimir Putin of Russia for the 18th BRICS Summit. He was received by MoS at the airport.
