Rahul Gandhi Condemns Manusmriti's Suppressive Attitude Towards Women

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has made a big statement about Manusmriti. He said that Manusmriti says it is shameful that a woman in her life is first subject to her father, then to her husband and then to her sons. He said that Manusmriti says that a woman in childhood is subject to her father. In youth she is subject to her husband and when her woman's husband dies, she then submits to her sons. Rahul Gandhi said that Manusmriti simply says that a woman should never be free. These are extremely shameful, because such words should never be used. He said, "The mindset of suppressing women comes from Manusmriti and today our fight is from this mindset. BJP-RSS people want girls and women to be caged, but we don't want this to happen. We want the respect of Hindustan.
