Raj Thackeray Slams Maharashtra Govt Over Closure of Marathi Schools

Pune: Once upon a time, a movement was created in Maharashtra called'Kasel his land '.Now you see his land is here. Because politicians are grabbing land from Dhandandage. All of them are being taken away. This is why there is an attempt to grab central space by closing down Marathi schools. Then Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray slammed the state government, questioning who has the eye on the back of Marathi schools. He was speaking at the Journalist Varunraj Bhide Memorial Award distribution ceremony given by the Journalist Varunraj Bhide family. The ceremony was held on Wednesday (December 29) evening at the Ganesh Hall of New English School on Tilak Road. Sanjay Awate, Editor of Lokmat, was present on the stage. Former MLA Ulhas Pawar, NCP leader Ankush Kakade were present on the stage. Senior journalists Mrinalini Nanivdekar, Kamlesh Sutar, Deepak Kamble, and Varun Bhide were honoured with the Varun Gaurav Memorial Award by the dignitaries.
