Meanwhile, on the first day of the monsoon session of the Rajasthan Assembly, the proceedings of the House lasted for about 21 minutes amid protests by the opposition. After paying tributes to the departed leaders, the House was adjourned till 11 am on Friday. Congress MLAs then ended their sit-in outside the Assembly gate. Congress leaders protested against the order on media entry in schools, calling it against transparency and democratic system. Party leaders targeted the government over issues related to education system and demanded the resignation of Education Minister Madan Dilawar. Before the start of the Assembly session, Congress MLAs marched on foot from Poddar Deaf School to the Assembly. Police barricaded near the Assembly and tried to stop the protesters. There was also a scuffle between the police and Congress leaders. Some MLAs climbed the barricades. After this, Congress leaders sat on a dharna outside the Assembly gate. Dotasara accused the Congress government of adopting a dictatorial attitude.
