Jaipur: The state govt has decided to create 298 more senior resident posts in 10 medical colleges in the state after the finance department approved medical education department's a proposal, a senior health official said.The move aims to strengthen Rajasthan's medical education system, prepare more qualified doctors for future and increase employment opportunities in the health sector, said the official.He added that the new posts would provide better opportunities for medical education in the state along with quality health services to patients. He said the posts would increase the number of medical staff in hospitals attached to medical colleges.He said, particularly, the availability of additional senior residents in departments with high patient load would enable operations, emergency services and specialist treatment to be conducted more efficiently. The posts will be distributed across various departments.
