Rajasthan Expects Four to Five Days of Thunderstorms, Hail, and Rain

The Meteorological Department says that under the influence of the currently active Western Disturbance, thunderstorm, hail and rain activities may continue for the next four to five days in many districts of Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions. Strong winds with speeds of 50 to 70 kmph and moderate to heavy rains are expected in some areas. Though thunderstorms and rain will persist in the initial days, the rain spell in the state in the last week of June and early July may be weaker than normal. This indication comes at a time when farmers and the general public are waiting for the monsoon. According to meteorologists, there is no possibility of a major change in temperature during the next two weeks. Maximum temperatures in most districts will remain around normal, but in some parts of eastern and southeastern Rajasthan temperatures may be recorded 2 to 4 ° C above normal during the second week.
