Rajasthan Municipal Elections: Parties Sequester Candidates Ahead of Results

The voting for the municipal elections in Rajasthan is over. The results of the wards will be out on September 14. Then the elected councillors will elect mayors and chairmen. Even before the results of the councillors are announced, the parties have started fencing their candidates. The BJP is at the forefront of this work. It is reportedly confining its candidates in hotels and resorts hundreds of kilometers away. However, BJP office bearers and candidates being sent by bus claim that they are being taken to unknown places for the party's policies and programs. The special thing is that no family member is being sent with the candidates. The Congress party says that it is also seriously considering the fencing of its candidates. The candidates of 150 wards of Jaipur Municipal Corporation were being sent to an unknown place through these luxury buses parked outside Vidyashram School in Jaipur city. The names of the candidates were being written on the side of the bus when the ABP team reached the bus.
