Rajasthan Municipal Elections: Second Phase Underway as Over 18,000 Candidates Seek Votes

Today (September 11) is the second and last phase of municipal elections 2026 in Rajasthan. During this phase, voters of 147 municipal bodies of the state will decide more than 18 thousand candidates. Major voters will also vote today in many cities including the capital Jaipur, including leaders like Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Sachin Pilot. The Election Commission has completed all the preparations for voting. The voting will go on from 7 am to 6 pm. Adequate police force has been deployed at all the polling stations for peaceful voting. Today's voting includes 6 municipal corporations, 20 municipal councils and 121 municipalities. Today in the second phase, 8760,884 voters in a total of 147 bodies will capture the fate of 18,266 candidates. The first phase of voting was held on September 9, according to their sensitivity, this time force has been deployed at the polling stations.
