Rajasthan Public Service Commission Crisis: Vacant Posts and Lack of Rules

The exam conducting bodies in Rajasthan are in a bad shape. The posts of members, including the chairman of the commission and the board, are lying vacant. There are no rules for the appointment of the chairman and members. The party that rules the government appoints its own relatives and party men. There is a chairman and 10 members, of which one chairman and 4 members (including Babulal Katara, who is suspended.) are vacant. Kesri is made the acting chairman. Member Ashok Kalwar is retiring on July 31. There are no rules for the appointment of the chairman and members of the commission. The government can decide the eligibility by passing an act in the assembly. The government can also ask the central government to amend the constitution. The rules of the UP, UK, CG, HP, MAHARASHTRA, TN, KERALA and Telangana Public Service Commissions remain the same. But in RPSC, it is not a statutory body. One president and four former members of the BJP are also not working. The RSS has two members in the current government.
