Ranchi Students' Protest Enters 24th Day; Fourth Round of Talks Scheduled

The students'agitation at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi continued for the 24th day on Monday (August 17). Students continued to protest over their demands. Students have called for a gherao of the Chief Minister's residence on August 20. However, a fourth round of talks between government representatives and agitating students will be held before that on Monday. The protesting students say that the demands should be met or else the consequences will have to be borne. It will be clear after the talks between the government and the students. So far three rounds of talks have been held between the government and the students, but no final solution has been found on the demands. During the agitation, the students have also gheraoed the Vidhan Sabha, where there was a confrontation between the protesters and the police and there was also a lathicharge. Now the fourth round of talks is being considered very important. Prem Nayak, who is on a hunger strike, told IANS that the government has called for talks several times, but the round-tablets.
