Rathore said that Ashok Gehlot used to make serious and balanced political statements earlier, but now there is no seriousness in his statements. He quipped that Gehlot's statements have changed after the political tussle with Sachin Pilot. He alleged that Gehlot is making such statements to maintain his political utility and to please the central leadership of the Congress. The BJP state president also commented on the ideological politics between the Congress and the BJP. He said that national leaders are not the property of any one party. The legacy of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel belongs to the entire country. He said that the BJP is working on the agenda of nationalism and development by adopting the ideas of these great men. Rathore also reacted to the ongoing rhetoric between state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasara and cabinet minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena. He alleged that Dotasara's family, however, took advantage of the OBC creed and said that they would not follow the rules of morality and ethics.
