In Patna, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) supremo and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha took major organisational decisions at the party's state convention. He made Alok Singh the new state president of RLM. He also appointed Prashant Pankaj and Subhash Chandravanshi as working state presidents and Himanshu Patel as principal general secretary. While addressing the convention, Upendra Kushwaha became emotional. He expressed pain over the denial of a seat to his son in the legislative council election. Kushwaha said that he also talked about this issue within the NDA, but still the decision did not come in his favor. The RLM chief launched a scathing attack on the media, saying that for the last several months, some people are running false news of RLM's separation from NDA and merger with other parties. He said, "It is wrong to run news without facts. No power in the world can merge RLM." Upendra Kushwaha assured the workers, "RLM was in NDA, and will remain in NDA. We appeal to the party workers not to create any new news or make new announcements."
