Doctors at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital have performed a very difficult heart operation. Doctors have successfully replaced a defective heart valve of a patient with the help of a robot. The patient had a very unique heart disease since childhood. Actually, this patient's heart was on the right side of the chest, not on the left side like normal people. Apart from this, his heart's blood vessels (arteries) were also not in their right place. Because of this, one of the valves of his heart was leaking badly. The patient's heart was under a lot of pressure due to the defect in the valve. His condition was constantly deteriorating. Dr. Anubhav Gupta and his team did this operation. Usually in such surgeries, the chest bone has to be cut from the middle. But the doctors did not do this at all. They made small holes on the chest. Then with the help of robotic hands and 3D camera, they changed the defective heart valve very cleanly.
