Russia Resumes Airstrikes on Kiev After US Envoys' Visit

Ukraine's emergency service reported late Monday that Russia had resumed strikes on Kiev after a three-day pause on strikes for US envoys visiting the Ukrainian capital. Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered a three-day halt to Moscow's strikes on Kiev when US President Donald Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited the Russian and Ukrainian capitals. Ukraine's State Emergency Service posted on Telegram, "The Russians attacked the Boryspil and Fastiv districts with drones." The military administration of the city of Kyiv reported that an air strike alert had been issued in the capital due to the threat of an enemy drone strike and asked people to evacuate. Russia's state-run TASS news agency had already confirmed that the pause in strikes had expired. Vitkoff mentioned Russia and Ukraine had resumed negotiations to end the three-party conflict.
