Russian President Putin held a telephonic conversation with Iranian President Peseshkian and expressed Russia's desire to play a role in establishing peace in the region. During this conversation, Putin said that an immediate end to violence is necessary to prevent war. He stressed that military action will not solve the problem and only political and diplomatic means can bring lasting peace. According to Russia, Russia is working with all parties to find a solution through dialogue and continuous efforts to de-escalate the conflict.
