Samajwadi Party Dissolves Hardoi Executive Amid Controversy Over Viral Video

The dispute within the Samajwadi Party in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh has now reached a major decision. The party has taken a big step amid the furore over the alleged viral video of SP district president Sharafat Ali. The executive of Hardoi has been dissolved with immediate effect. The order issued by Samajwadi Party state president Shyam Lal Pal states that all district office bearers, including the district president, and teams of different wings of the party have been terminated. This decision has come at a time when resentment was growing within the party over the alleged comment. In fact, a purported video-audio of SP district president Sharafat Ali in Hardoi has gone viral on social media. The video accuses him of allegedly making indecent remarks about women leaders, including his own party's former MP Usha Verma, former MLA Rajeshwari Devi. Besides, a case has also come to light about the daughters joining the army. Usha Verma has been associated with the Samajwadi family for several years.
