Mumbai: Shiv Sena's key leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given a major responsibility to his son and MP Dr Shrikant Shinde in a major change in the party's organization. After the party's poor performance in the last elections in Mumbai, Shrikant Shinde has now been appointed as the'Sampark Pramukh'for all the six Lok Sabha seats in Mumbai. With this decision, his stature in the party has been officially raised and he will emerge as the main face of Shiv Sena in the upcoming elections. The Shiv Sena of the Shinde faction has released the list of Sampark Pramukhs for all the 48 seats in the state. Shrikant Shinde has also been given the responsibility of the Thane Lok Sabha constituency in addition to Mumbai. His team also includes leaders like ministers Yogesh Kadam and Nilesh Rane. On the other hand, Naresh Mhaske, MP for Bhiwandi and Kalyan, has been given the responsibility of strengthening the party's base. Shrikant Shinde will now directly monitor all the seats from Mumbai North to Mumbai South. This move of Shinde is also seen as an attempt to strengthen the Thackeray family's leadership.
