Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction in Maharashtra, made a big claim on Sunday (July 5). He said that Congress MLC Dheeraj Lingade was offered Rs 20 crore to switch sides, although the MLC has denied the allegation. Sanjay Raut did not elaborate on who offered Lingade the money and which party the MLC was to join. Raut claimed, "You are breaking party workers, MPs and MLAs, Lingade was offered Rs 20 crore. It is in my knowledge." He said that people who do not understand where to stop, their end is very sad. Raut said that this applies to all leaders. Referring to manipulation of public representatives, he said that someone has to stop. While talking to reporters, Lingade denied any such offer and said that the claims of the Maharashtra unit of the BJP were also baffled by Girish Mahajan.
