Shiv Sena Party Chief Calls Emergency Meeting Amid Speculation of MP Defections

Amid speculation that some Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs may switch sides, party chief Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting of his MPs on Sunday. A party MP said the meeting has been called on Sunday afternoon at Matoshree, Thackeray's residence in Mumbai's Bandra East area. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 12 noon. For this, leaders need to reach Matoshree by 11 pm. All Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs will meet on Sunday at Matoshree. The meeting has been organised in Uddhav Thackeray's presence. Reports of some Shiv Sena MPs being in touch with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde continue to emerge. The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop. MP Sanjay alias Bandu Jadhav has been absent in the last few meetings. His presence in today's meeting will be keenly watched. The development assumes significance amid talk that the Shiv Sena, led by some Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra under'Operation Tiger ', may join the game in Delhi this week.
