The acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor by Elon Musk's company SpaceX for $60 billion has made the founders and early investors billionaires. SpaceX has said it will acquire Cursor's parent company AnySphere. Cursor makes an AI coding agent that helps developers write software with the help of artificial intelligence. Beneficiaries of the deal include 25-year-old Indian-origin Aman Sengar and 26-year-old Pakistani-origin Sualeh Asif. Both of them are part of Cursor's founding team. Aman is the chief operating officer of AnySphere, while Asif is the company's chief product officer. Cursor was founded in 2022 by Aman Sengar, Sualeh Asif, Michael Truell, and Arvid Lunnemark. Each of the four founders owns about 4. 5% of the company. According to Forbes estimates, the net worth of Cursor's four billion-dollar co-founders after this acquisition will not only benefit from the company, but also from larger investments such as Throwitz & Boycott.
