Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has got relief from the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case. The Supreme Court has issued a notice on Rahul Gandhi's petition. The court has asked to hand over a copy of the petition to the complainant. The Supreme Court has asked the Allahabad High Court to postpone the hearing proposed on August 20. The order also says that the CBI and other investigating agencies should not present any report in the High Court for the time being. The Lucknow bench of the High Court had ordered a CBI and ED investigation into the case. Rahul has approached the Supreme Court against this order. The High Court had given this order on the petition of BJP activist Vignesh Shishir. The petition said that Rahul has so far spent 60 crore rupees on his foreign trips. It is much more than his declared income. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of Rahul Gandhi in front of the 3 judges bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant. Sibal said that the High Court has never seen any complaint in this matter.
