Surat District Administration Appoints Officials for Local Body Elections

Surat: As part of the preparations for the local body elections-2026 announced by the State Election Commission, an important decision has been taken by the Surat district administration. Election Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) have been officially appointed to ensure fair and peaceful conduct of the election process of the four major municipalities of the district. Details of the appointment as per the municipality: The following officers have been selected by the civic body keeping in view the geographical and administrative aspects of the area: * Bardoli Municipality (Wards 1 to 9): Deputy Collector (Bardoli Province) will be the Returning Officer. He will be assisted by Deputy Executive Engineer (Panchayat) as Assistant Returning Officer. * Kadodara Municipality (Wards 1 to 7): Deputy Collector (Kamrej Province) has been appointed as the Returning Officer for this area, while Deputy Executive Engineer (Panchayat) of Palasana will be the Assistant Returning Officer. * Mandvi Municipality (Ward 1 to 6): Deputy Revenue Officer (Ward 6) of Surat District Panchayat will be the Returning Officer.
