Suvendu Adhikari Takes Oath as West Bengal's First BJP Chief Minister

Suvendu Adhikari took oath as the ninth Chief Minister of West Bengal. He was sworn in as the first Chief Minister of a BJP government in West Bengal at a public meeting in Brigade. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several top BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Yogi Adityanath, and Nitin Gadkari. Chief Ministers of all Indian states were present. Apart from Suvendu Adhikari, Swapan Dasgupta, Agnimitra Paul, Shankar Ghosh, Dilip Ghosh, and several BJP MLAs were sworn in as ministers. Governor RN Ravi administered the oath of office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, state BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya, and Suvendu Adhikari arrived at Brigade's stage in an open car.
