Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay Emphasizes People-Centric Governance Ahead of 2026 Assembly Elections

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, during an event in Dharapuram, spoke about the functioning of his government and the mandate for the 2026 assembly elections. He said that some people still feel that power is in their hands and their family controls the state's politics. Vijay said that his politics is not like a monarchy and his government is working to serve the people. Vijay said that in the 2026 elections Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has been given a chance by the people. He said that his government will work to maintain the trust of the people. Vijay also spoke about the schemes launched by his government for the Dharapuram by-election. He said that after forming the government, the promises made during the elections are being gradually fulfilled. He spoke about curbing corruption and bribery. According to Vijay, his government aims to provide an administration where people do not have to pay bribes for government work.
