Tamil Nadu CM Vijay: TVK in Politics for People's Service, Not Monarchy or Family Rule

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, during an election rally in Dharapuram, said that his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) has come into politics to serve the people, not to rule a monarchy or a family. He said that the people have given the responsibility of power to TVK in the 2026 assembly election and his government will maintain this trust. Vijay was campaigning in support of the party candidate in the Dharapuram assembly by-election. Polling in Dharapuram is scheduled for 6 October and counting of votes on 9 October. Vijay said that some people think that his party has forgotten the mandate given by the people in the 2026 election. He said, Some people think that in the 2026 election, the people have elected Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam and sent the DMK out of power. He still feels that he is the chief minister, his family is in power and now his family is also in control. Vijay said that within a short span of time, the government is being formed.
