Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Thursday carried out the first major expansion of its cabinet, inducting 23 new ministers. The cabinet led by Vijay includes seven ministers from scheduled communities and four women ministers. This is being considered a historic change. Meanwhile, a list detailing the specific portfolios allocated to each minister has been released. 10 ministers, including Chief Minister Vijay, had already been assigned portfolios. The Governor's Office has now released the list of portfolios assigned to the newly inducted ministers. After Kerala, the Tamil Nadu government led by Thalapathy Vijay has created a separate department dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Tamil Nadu has become the second state after neighbouring Kerala to create a separate department for AI. Tamilaga Vetri Kashagam (TVK) MLA R Kumar was administered the oath of office by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in the presence of Chief Minister C Vijay Kumar.
