Addressing his workers, former Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin described Chief Minister Vijay's government as a weak and minority government. He also asked his workers to be prepared for elections. He said that this government may not complete its five-year term and that it is running with the support of parties that were part of the alliance led by him until recently. Stalin, who lost his seat in the Tamil Nadu elections, said Vijay's party does not have the mandate of the people to run the government independently, as it got 108 seats against the 118 needed for a majority. He claimed that the government is running with the support of only those who were actually voted to form the government of the DMK. This is happening only because of the strategic coordination and support of some parties that were part of our progressive alliance until recently. Stalin said, "This is an unstable system. We don't know at what point this cart will lose its balance and suddenly, I can't tell you whether it will happen in a cycle of six months or in a cycle of six months."
