Discussions have begun on AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi's proposal to ease the registration and verification of voters in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR-2026) process in Telangana. In this regard, a group of representatives along with Fahim Qureshi met the Chief Secretary (CS) of Telangana and requested the state government to issue PRC (Population Register Certificate) or Family Register Certificate to the voters. They suggested that the state government can implement this system by issuing a special order under Article 162. The representatives said that it will be beneficial in registering the names of eligible voters in the final list of SIR. Owaisi has been believing that the poor, minorities, backward classes (BC), scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) should not face difficulties in the process of revision of voter list. It seems that this proposal has also come in the same regard.
