Tense Eid Celebrations in Gulf Countries Amid War Fears

Dubai: This year's Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in the Gulf countries, the hub of global tourism and pomp, are going to be perhaps the most peaceful and tense in history. The direct impact of the war between Iran, Israel and the United States is visible on the Middle East sky. In countries like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, where the whole sky was lit with fireworks on Eid, this time the government has banned all kinds of fireworks and drone shows. Dubai's world-famous'Global Village ', which used to be the main center of Eid celebrations, has been closed suddenly for security reasons. The main reason behind this decision is that the US military base located in these countries is directly targeted by Iran, which is considered to be a major public gathering threat. In the shadow of the war as well as on the economic front, the citizens of the Gulf countries are suffering.
