Tension Erupts in Falta, West Bengal Amid Assembly Election

Tension has been reported from the Falta area of South 24 Parganas district amid West Bengal Assembly Election 2026. There were heated arguments between locals and security forces, with people accusing TMC leaders of threatening them. There were long arguments between people and security forces during the incident. Although efforts were made to control the situation, tension remained in the area. Polling for 294 seats of the West Bengal Assembly has been held in two phases on 23 April and 29 April.
