Iranian state television on Wednesday made a startling claim that its forces have fired cruise missiles targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. A video released by Iran's Fars news agency shows missiles in the sky and sounds of huge explosions, sending the international community into a tizzy. Ahead of the warning and strike, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani issued an open warning to the US. He said in clear terms that the USS Abraham Lincoln is within range of Iranian missile systems and its movements are being constantly monitored. If the ship tries to come close to Iranian waters, it will be targeted by the Army Navy.
