Tensions Escalate: Iran Targets Indian Vessels in Strait of Hormuz

New Delhi: A dangerous'power game'has once again begun in the seas of West Asia. Today, Iranian gunboats targeted two large Indian-flagged commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Following the incident in the northeast of Oman, India's Ministry of External Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador with immediate effect and demanded a strong response. Attack on the tanker: One of the two ships involved in the oil supply accident was the'Very Large Crude Carrier'( VLCC), believed to be the world's largest tanker used to transport millions of barrels of oil. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage to the ships in the firing, but this aggressive attitude of the Iranian navy forced the two ships to change course. The incident raised a big question mark against India's energy supplies and maritime security. The Iranian ambassador to India on 13 April assured that relations with the Iranian ship were still in a state of conflict.
