Senior Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Saturday (June 13). The meeting followed talks with Union Minister Bhupender Yadav. Bandyopadhyay was accompanied by rebel TMC MP Satabdi Roy when he went to Yadav's residence at Motilal Nehru Marg. Hours after Bandyopadhyay and Shah met, former minister Manas Bhunia resigned from the TMC. The 74-year-old Bhunia told NDTV that he was unhappy with the ongoing crisis in the party, but did not say what his next step would be. Sudip Bandyopadhyay, 77, is a 6-time Lok Sabha MP. He is an MP from West Bengal's Kolkata North seat and is the leader of the Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha. On Bandyopadhyay's meeting with Bhupendra Yadav, TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh said, "Mamata didi gave these people positions and honours and these people are doing this in return. Sudip's statement to me that Mamata didi's party is not doing well this time.
