Keerthana, who won a historic victory from Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district, has the distinction of becoming the first woman MLA in the constituency, ending the dominance of male leaders in the constituency for the last 70 years. Keerthana, who entered the fray as a representative of the TVK party, has now sharpened her political journey with a berth in Vijay's cabinet. S. Keerthana's biggest specialty is her linguistic fluency, especially in Hindi, which is rare among South Indian politicians. In her video that has gone viral on social media, she clearly says that she is speaking Hindi so that people across India can know about her leader and the party's vision. Keerthana, who weaponises language to expand the party's reach at the national level, believes that politics need not scare the youth away from joining Vijay's cabinet.
