Thalapathy Vijay's Government Secures Trust Vote in Tamil Nadu Assembly

Thalapathy Vijay government wins trust vote in Tamil Nadu. 144 votes cast in favour of Vijay. Earlier, 59-member DMK had boycotted the trust vote. Significantly, the majority mark in the 234-member assembly of Tamil Nadu is 118. TVK has won 108 seats. DMK has won 59 seats. AIADMK has won 47 seats. Congress has won 5 seats. PMK had won four seats. In such a situation, the majority mark in the house was further reduced after the boycott of DMK. In such a situation, Vijay's floor test was now a mere formality. During the'neutral'floor test, DMK not only boycotted but also abstained from voting. BJP has only one MLA in the house and he remained in a'neutral'role during the process.
