Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait has appealed to the opposition parties to hold big rallies across the country. He said that big events should be held in every state like the rally held on 1 November in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. Ideological revolution is necessary to save the country. Tikait also asked the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to take the initiative of this campaign. During a media interaction in Ghaziabad, Rakesh Tikait said that the opposition should not limit its campaign to Delhi, but should unite the people in every state of the country. Rakesh Tikait also supported the youth-led Cockroach Janata Party. He said that the youth will play an important role in changing the country's politics and government. Attacking the government on the issue of sugarcane farmers, Tikait accused the central and Uttar Pradesh governments of not being serious about the demands of sugarcane farmers. He said that the government has neither addressed the demands of the farmers nor has held talks with their leaders. According to him, after 22 January 2021, BKU leaders have said that a uniform price for sugarcane should be fixed in the country.
