TMC Announces Candidates for 17 Assam Assembly Seats

The TMC has announced candidates for 17 seats in the first phase of the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. The party has selected strategic candidates to take on the BJP. Dulu Ahmed is one of the big faces in the released list. He joined the TMC after fighting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as an independent and has now emerged as one of the party's strong points in Assam. The TMC has fielded candidates in important districts like Cachar, Kokrajhar, Tinsukia, Kamrup, Goalpara, and Dhubri. Dulu Ahmed has been fielded in Chamaria constituency, Bhoglal Rabha in Boko-Chaygaon (ST) constituency, and Bikash Nath Jogi in Palashbari, with special emphasis on Kamrup district. Udangshri Narzary will contest in Kokrajhar, Mominur Islam in Bilasipara, Dhubri, and Arif Akhtar Ahmed in Jaleswar, Goalpara.
