TMC Candidate Accused of Voter Intimidation and Identity Card Snatching in West Bengal

Serious allegations were made against Jahangir Khan, the TMC candidate in South 24 Parganas in West Bengal. It was claimed that he and his supporters were intimidating local voters and snatching their identity cards before the second phase of polling. On receiving a complaint on this matter, Ajay Pal Sharma, posted as a police observer appointed by the Election Commission, along with central forces, reached the residence of Jahangir Khan, the TMC candidate in Falta assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district. Jahangir Khan's statement on the whole matter has come to light.
