TMC Candidate Swapna Barman's Nomination Filing Hurdles Resolved with Court Intervention

These days, the court's intervention has led to legal complications. There are no more obstacles in filing the nomination of TMC candidate for Rajganj assembly, Swapna Barman. She has made it clear. TMC candidate and former athlete Swapna had to face problems before filing her nomination from Rajganj constituency in Jalpaiguri district. She joined the Trinamool without resigning from her railway job. Earlier in 2020, Swapna joined the Trinamool as a social welfare officer of the Alipurduar division of the Railways. She joined the Trinamool without resigning as a railway officer on 27 February 2020. The party then nominated her as a candidate for Rajganj assembly constituency. A new scandal broke out. On 9 March, a departmental inquiry was started against her on the basis of a complaint from the Railways. Then on 16 March, Swapna resigned, but due to a departmental inquiry initiated against her, Swapna did not accept the case. Swapna approached the Calcutta High Court.
