TMC Crisis Deepens: Mamata Faces Rebellion from Within Party

Mamata Banerjee, who ruled West Bengal politics for 15 years, now seems to be in her own house. Mamata Banerjee is trying hard to reconcile the Trinamool Congress, but rebellious voices are coming out one after the other. Amid all this, some leaders have also voiced their support for Mamata. After the crushing defeat in the recent assembly elections, a series of revolts started in the TMC. With more than 60 MLAs revolting and 19 MPs trying to form a separate faction, Kalyan Banerjee, now Mamata's most trusted person, has also openly raised the banner of revolt. He has given an ultimatum to Mamata's nephew Abhishek Banerjee, "Either Abhishek, or me." Kalyan Banerjee is a senior TMC leader and Lok Sabha MP. Mamata Banerjee recently made him the chief whip in place of Kakoli Ghosh. Banji, a lawyer by profession, is involved in many cases for the party. Abhishek Kalyan, a lawyer by profession, is also fighting on behalf of the party in a fake case.
