TMC Leader Arrives in Delhi Amid Rebellion Fears

TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee arrived in the national capital on Saturday itself. The party leadership is grappling with indications that the rebellion may now spread to the parliamentary party after it lost control of the legislative party in the West Bengal assembly. According to sources, the TMC top leadership will internally assess the situation within the party ahead of the India Alliance meeting on Monday. One of the biggest setbacks for Mamata Banerjee since the party's inception came last week when 58 of the TMC's 80 MLAs broke away from the party's official legislative party.
