TMC Leadership Shake-up: Saayoni Ghosh and Mala Roy Removed from Key Positions

According to advertisement party sources, Jadavpur MP Saayoni Ghosh has been removed as the president of Youth Trinamool Congress and young leader Arnab Banerjee has been given the responsibility. Alifa Ahmed, MLA from Kaliganj in Nadia district, has been made the president of Trinamool Mahila Congress in place of Kolkata South MP Mala Roy. Interestingly, a few days ago, Mamata Banerjee had reappointed Saayoni Ghosh and Mala Roy to these posts during the reorganization of the organization. But now this sudden change is being seen as a link to the ongoing power struggle within the party. A group of disgruntled MPs within the advertisement party is openly standing against the NDA leadership. The rebel camp claims that 20 out of 28 TMC MPs are with them in the Lok Sabha. The names of Saayoni Ghosh and Mala Roy are also being mentioned. The rebel MPs say that they will meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and demand recognition of themselves as the real TMC. Kakoli Ghosh said that if this sudden change is seen within the party, then they will also demand recognition of their alliance with the BJP (Democratic Alliance) in Parliament.
