TMC Turncoat MP Meets BJP Leaders Amid Controversy Over 'Traitor' Posters

TMC turncoat MP Partha Bhowmik met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president Nitin Nabin in New Delhi. Hours later, posters describing him as a'traitor'appeared in his own Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal, sparking a fresh political controversy. On Friday, several TMC turncoats from the Nationalist Citizen Party of India (NCPI) camp held meetings with the BJP's top leadership in Delhi. The posters surfaced around the same time as the photos were being discussed. Bhowmik, a prominent figure in Bengal politics for nearly 15 years, served as a TMC MLA from Naihati for three terms between 2011 and 2021. Later, he won the 2024 Lok Sabha election on a Trinamool Congress ticket. However, after the Trinamool Congress suffered a major setback in the elections, Bhowmik left the party and joined the newly formed NCPI. He also distanced himself from the alliance and supported the BJP in Delhi.
