TMC's Delhi Rebellion: Rebel MPs Claim Support for NDA

The TMC's Kolkata rebellion has now reached Delhi. In Kolkata, MLAs led by Ritabrata Banerjee have formed separate factions, now it is the turn of MPs. On Monday, 14 Lok Sabha MPs of the party met West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari at BJP leader Bhupender Yadav's house. Senior party MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar claimed that around 20 TMC MPs have decided to support the NDA and have conveyed their position to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. At present, TMC has 28 Lok Sabha MPs and 12 Rajya Sabha MPs. TMC Lok Sabha MPs will need at least 12 MPs to form any new faction. The rebel MPs have claimed the support of 20 MPs. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said that a letter has already been sent to the Speaker stating the group's willingness to support the ruling alliance at the Centre. "Around 20 TMC MPs, including me, have written to Speaker Birla about their decision to support the NDA." As per the report of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Kakoli Ghosh, TMC MPs want at least 12 MPs to form any new faction.
