Tribals protest in front of Indanapalli Range Forest Office in Janaram Mandal, Mancherial District, Telangana. On Sunday (August 2, 2026) afternoon, Muthi Mallesh, Chanti, Rayavishnu, Anil, Krishna and Srinu of Indanapalli Nayakpuguda were fishing in a small nearby river. At the same time, Indanapalli FRO Lakshminarayana along with his staff came and beat up the youths and took them into custody. After learning that Vishnu and Srinu had escaped and the other four were in the custody of forest officials, a large number of tribals from Nayakpuguda reached the Indanapalli Range Office and protested. They broke chairs at the Indanapalli Range Office demanding the release of the youths. Later, they squatted on the Mancherial-Adilabad main road and demanded the release of the detained youths. The protest went on for several hours, leading to a massive traffic jam. Ramamoorthy, the chief officer of Lakpet police, and Dandaram, his assistant, tried to convince the tribal youths to call off the protest.
