Trinamool Candidate Kajal Sheikh Not Listed on Supplementary List Despite Being a Candidate

Names of 14 candidates from six political parties in the state are in the adjudication or pending list. The list includes Faizul Haque Orfekajal Sheikh, a candidate from Hassan constituency in Birbhum. His name is not in the supplementary list. Kajal is not at all concerned about it. Her response is, "I have not seen any conspiracy yet, nor am I worried." The supplementary list of SIR was published on Monday. Though the name is not in the list, Faizul Haque alias Kajal Sheikh, the president of Birbhum Zila Parishad and the Trinamool candidate from Hassan Assembly constituency. Kajal Sheikh told Online at the time, "All is not clear yet. Maybe it will come for the second time. But so far I have not seen any conspiracy in this. And I am not worried. Let me see what the state leadership decides about this matter first." Kajal was nominated by the Trinamool Congress to the seat instead of Ashok Chattopadhyay, the outgoing MLA of Hassan Assembly in the assembly elections in 2026. Kajal Sheikh was also the president of Birbhum Zila Parishad. However, due to her name being on the list, Kajal's name was also in the Supreme Court.
